Arsenal eye Mahrez as Sanchez replacement

Reports claim that Arsenal are seriously considering a move for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez as they look to prepare their squad for the inevitable departure of Alexis Sanchez.
Having slapped in a transfer request in the summer, the Algerian is thought to be keen on a move once again in January, despite his upturn in form since the arrive of Claude Puel.
Whilst Leicester are no longer a small club, the winger is thought to be keen on a chance to prove himself at higher level, with the chance to play in Europe very appealing to him.
According to 'Le Buteur', Arsenal are interested in luring the 26-year-old to the Emirates in the New Year and are closing in on a €30m deal, despite rival interest from Chelsea, Barcelona and Roma.
Mahrez has racked up six goals and six assists in 20 Premier League games so far this season, beating his tally for last campaign, despite the season only being at its halfway stage.
Sacnhez is widely expecting to leave the 'Gunners' sooner rather than later and it appears that Arsene Wenger will waste no time in bringing in a replacement.
