Diego Costa is currently in Brazil and trying to force his way out of Stamford Bridge, but the striker has now been fined two weeks' wages by Chelsea after failing to return to pre-season training.
According to 'Sky Sports', the fine is in the region of £300,000.
Costa believes the way he has been treated by his club is unjust and in an interview with the 'Daily Mail', he threatened to see out the final year of his contract in Brazil.
He said, "If I have to I will stay in Brazil. I am open to being a year in Brazil without playing, even if Chelsea fine me for a year and don't pay me. I'll come back stronger. If I was in the wrong, I'd go back now and do as they say."
The 28-year-old is pushing for a move back to his former club Atletico Madrid, with the Spanish side keen to re-sign their former talisman.
