Police Begin Search For Pastor Who Chained Son For 9 Weeks

Ogun State police said they have begun a search for Francis Taiwo, a pastor of the Key of Joy Celestial Church, Ajibawo, Atan-Ota town of the state.

Mr. Taiwo and other church members are accused of chaining his 9-year-old son for weeks.
The Ogun Police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed on Sunday an improvement to the boy’s health. He said the boy will be handed over to Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare during the week for further rehabilitation.

He said, “The father is on the run. No information about him yet but we have started intensive manhunt on him. He can only run for awhile and he can’t hide.”
Adejobi said the boy’s stepmother, Kehinde Taiwo, is in police custody and that efforts are being made to contact the boy’s biological mother.
